The Hidden Zine

The Hidden Zine is a home for LGBTQIA+ art, writing, and musings founded and created by Kae in 2024. The zine is a creative project that features creative work by friends of Kae and Kae themself, largely focusing on queer visual art, poetry, flash fiction, and short stories.

The zine is handcrafted by Kae and then hidden in random locations around the city of Chicago IL in hopes of bringing the art of the written word into everyday moments of peoples’ lives. There are a limited number of each issue hidden around the city, and in doing so, the zine asks the average reader to seek out new and different voices and discover the independent LGBTQIA+ creatives all around.

Mulberry Literary

During their time in undergrad at Columbia College Chicago in 2019, Kae founded Mulberry Literary, an art and literary magazine that aims to provide a longstanding and international platform for boundless creative work in whatever form it takes. The magazine is proudly eclectic and maximalistic and has no limits on what work it will accept for submission or publication.

Kae started the magazine as a place for every form of creative work to coexist; art, music, writing, dance, film, and much more—so as to create a space where all forms of art and writing can commune together, regardless of niche, theme, or topic.
